History

sankaku  August, 2002 Fixstars Limited was founded with five million yen capital in Yokohama, Kanagawa prefecture, for the purpose of providing world-class software technology.
sankaku  August, 2003 Capital increased to 28 million yen and becomes Fixstars Corporation.
The headquarters was moved to Hachiyama, in Shibuya, Tokyo.
sankaku  July, 2004 Possibilities of the next generation multi-core processor Cell motivated the establishment of a department for developing multi-core technology.
Concentrated on the Cell/B.E. program.
sankaku  May, 2005 The office was moved to Ebisu, in Shibuya, Tokyo.
sankaku  September, 2005 Yosuke Tamura, PhD, from Sony Computer Science Laboratories, Inc, joins as Chief Technology Officer.
Capital increased to 30 million yen.
sankaku  October, 2006 he headquarters was moved to Konan (Shinagawa), in Minato, Tokyo.
Shinichi Okamoto joins as a non-executive officer.

sankaku  May, 2008 Capital increased to 196.8 million yen.
sankaku  May, 2008 Opened Cell/B.E. Development Center in Shinagawa.
sankaku  October, 2008 Established subsidiary 'Fixstars Solutions Inc.' of San Jose, California.
sankaku  November, 2008 Acquired all the assets of Terra Soft Solutions, the world renowned developer of Yellow Dog Linux.
sankaku  December, 2008 Capital increased to 210.55 million yen.
