Basic knowledge and understandings of the Linux kernel is highly recommended, as we seek for engineers that is more than just a user.

Job description |
Develop Linux OS
- Develop in Yellow Dog Linux for new platforms and devices.
- Provide technical leadership.
- Support the development of a wide range of projects
- Occasionally travel to provide on-site engineering support for customers

Personal Attributes |
- Excellent Problem Solver.
- Fast learner.
- Organized.
- Excellent written communication;fluency in English and Japanese preferred.
- Feet wet, figure-it-out, get-it-done attitude.

Required Skills |
- C/C++ and RPM experience preferred.
- Python, PyGTK, Shell scripting,Subversion, preferred.
- Active involvement in the Open Source community, preferred.

Shinagawa head office or stationed
elsewhere (mainly somewhere in the 23 wards of Tokyo). Living in Tokyo
And In US, Silicon Valley Office or Loveland, Colo.

Salary |
Determined according to your experience
and development skills at the time you join the company.
Examples of annual earnings
- 4.8 million yen; 1 year with company; 29 years of age a fixed monthly amount:
400,000 yen + (performance-based compensation)
- 6.0 million yen; 2 years with company; 30 years of age a fixed monthly amount:
500,000 yen + (performance-based compensation)
- 7.2 million yen; 1 year with company; 33 years of age a fixed monthly amount:
600,000 yen + (performance-based compensation)

Treatment and benefits |
Salary revisions twice a year (April,
October); performance-based bonus paid twice a year (July, December)
Full social insurance payments, transportation expenses paid (up to 60,000
yen), stock options, employee share ownership plan
